Best of Film Festival

BEST OF FILM FESTIVAL – is as the name implies: The Festival presenting the best festivalfilms! See films that have been awarded at international filmfestivals but have not been released at theatres (yet).

Since ages we have been annoyed by film critics reporting from exotic places and boasting about the quality of deservedly prize-winning films at international festivals, while we as ordinary local film freaks never had the chance to see those films in a decent theatre nearby.

Of course, there is not a lot of market space for extraordinary or daring movies, let alone shorts or animated shorts compilations in commercial theatres. But BEST OF FILM FESTIVAL now offers a chance to view some treasures of contemporary filmmaking in Frankfurt am Main theatres.

Most of these are festival winners or other awarded films. Because we are curious to see them and also because we can be sure, that they have pleased experts before – the juries.

So when you are interested in remarkable, excellent movies, in really great cinema, than you simply cannot afford to miss the chance to visit BEST OF FILM FESTIVAL – or otherwise you might never see these films in theatre at all.

We would like to than the co-operating filmmakers, distributors, cinema and media partners for supporting this project, most of all we want to than the presenters of eDIT Filmmaker’s Festival – the Hessen State Ministry of Higher Education, Research and the Arts, the Hessian Regulatory Authority for Commercial Broadcasting and New Media (LPR Hessen) and the City of Frankfurt – for funding the BEST OF FILM FESTIVAL.

The BEST OF FILMFESTIVAL is presented by eDIT 12. Filmmaker’s Festival in the following cinemas: E-Kinos, Orfeo’s Erben and CineStar Metropolis.

Tickets are available at the Box Office.

Entrance fee is 6 Euro, unless stated differently.

The LUCAS-Winner-Screening is for 3 Euro (Sunday a.m.).

Free tickets for all screenings for Filmmaker’s Festival guests presenting an accreditation badge at the box office.

The Screening of UP! in 3D (Tuesday 20.00 hrs) requires a special invitation.
